Morphology:
Adult:
 Adult: hindwings present, reduce in size; metathorax with paired dark reddish brown spots laterally; mesosternum with paired reddish brown spots medially on anterior margin (Tungpairojwong and Bae, 2015).
Larva:
 Larva: lacinia of maxillary with single enlarged acute tooth, depressed near apex; maxillary palp terminal segment ca. 0.5×length of segment 2, apically conical; lateral spines on tergum 8 poorly developed, with 1-2 spines; terga 3 and 6 with one pair of white streaks on anterior margin submedially (Tungpairojwong and Bae, 2015).

Habitat: The larvae of Procloeon rubeosternum occurred in mountain streams ranging 240-330 m in altitude. The larvae were found from slow-flowing pool areas in the streams with abundant fallen leaves and algae. The substrates mainly consisted of boulders, cobbles, and gravel on a bedrock.
